SUBSTITUTE and REPLACE
Rewrite part of a text with SUBSTITUTE when you know what to change, or with REPLACE when you know where it is.
In this lesson
=SUBSTITUTE(text, old_text, new_text)replaces every match of old_text.- Add a 4th argument to replace only one match:
=SUBSTITUTE(B2,"-",") ",1)changes only the first dash. =REPLACE(old_text, start_num, num_chars, new_text)replaces characters by position:=REPLACE(B2,1,7,"***-***").
