Find where a value stands in a list with PERCENTILE.INC and QUARTILE.INC, and read the median as the 50th percentile.
In this lesson
- The 50th percentile, QUARTILE.INC with 2 and MEDIAN all give the same value.
- When k falls between two values, the result is worked out between them, so it may not be in the list.
- The older names PERCENTILE and QUARTILE give the same results.
