Group numbers into ranges
Turn a number field such as age or visits into bands (20s, 30s, 0 to 4 visits) inside a pivot table, with a round start and bands of equal width.
In this lesson
- Put the number field in Rows, right-click one of its numbers in the pivot table, then Create pivot group rule.
- Minimum value: a round number at or below the smallest value.
- Every value lands in exactly one band, and a band starts at its first number.
